This is during "All I Ask of You" and Raoul sings it to Christine. Raoul sings this to Christine shortly after the Phantom's first murder. He is on the roof with Christine after she ran from the opera house. He sings this promise to her and it is a duet between the couple. After this song, Raoul proposes and Christine accepts.

This causes the Phantom's reprise of this song. In his reprise he also sings this line, and it is also directed towards Christine.

"The Phantom of the Opera" story is well known for not only the songs, but the love story in it and don't forget the mystery too!

Answer: It was very long.

We saw Mme Giry's long hair throughout the film, although sometimes she had it rolled up in a bun. The length of her hair was seen when she bent down to pick up the first note from the Phantom, and then as she was reading out the same note to the managers.

Raoul is sliced on the upper part of his left arm, but does go on to disarm the Phantom and win the fight. When he raises his sword to finish the Phantom off, Christine stops him by saying, 'No Raoul...not like this.' After Raoul and Christine ride off on Raoul's horse, the Phantom declares war on both of them.

Madame Giry sings this as a warning to Firmin and André when they refuse to obey the Phantom's orders. Unfortunately, they don't listen to her and everything ends in disaster.

Answer: Keep your hand at the level of your eyes.

She says this a few times during the film whenever there is talk of someone going after The Phantom. Madame Giry says this because The Phantom tends to hang his victims and keeping your hand up can help you prevent it. She says this to Raoul when he is going to The Phantom's lair to rescue Christine.

Mme Giry had arrived first and saw Raoul being wheeled into the auditorium by his nurse. Even though she recognized him, she bid against him on the music box.

For those who believe it was Meg at the auction, it is actually Mme Giry. The auctioneer says "Mme Giry." The woman's face is the same as Mme Giry's (including the eye color - Meg had brown eyes and Mme Giry had blue). And no one is to say that she there's no way she wouldn't be alive. Also, Mme Giry wasn't old at the time of the story - she was a little older than the Phantom. Also, Meg wasn't grown - she was Christine's age. In the "Phantom of the Opera Companion" book, the screenplay een says that the character is Mme Giry and that she has aged better than Raoul had.

She brings a rose with her to the roof after Buquet is killed. As Raoul and Christine sing their duet ("All I Ask of You"), she drops the bouquet in the snow. The Phantom picks it up and crushes the rose in his hand.

At some times, the Phantom's mask covers both sides of his face (in "Masquerade" and "The Point of No Return"), but for the majority of the movie it is on his right side.

Answer: Don Juan Triumphant

He casts Christine as the lead, and enters the play himself, for in his Opera he is Don Juan and it is about his and Christine's "love triumphant" (or so it was explained in the novel). This is also the production where Christine and the Phantom sing "The Point of No Return"; such a seductive little song. I love it! In the movie the actual score only has "Don Juan" written on it, but when he presents it to the owners in "Why So Silent" he actually sings "I have written you an Opera; here I brought the finished score, 'Don Juan Triumphant'".

"Christine, you're going to become a great and famous singer. I'll help you." I find it interesting that box 5 was never mentioned in this version of the story. It plays an integral part in the novel.

Answer: The Phantom

This is one of my favorite scenes and lines of the whole production. The Phantom sings his reprise of "All I Ask of You" after he sees Christine and Raoul singing together and Christine falling in love with Raoul. The Phantom is actually crying in this scene because his muse has fallen in love with someone else.

Answer: Coach Driver

He kills the Gypsy Master when he is just a boy and Madame Giry meets him for the first time. She brings him to the Opera Populaire to live, where he kills Buquet during the transaction of "Il Muto" where Carlotta and Christine switch roles. Piangi is killed later, during "Don Juan Triumphant". He does knock out the coach driver, but the coach driver recovers in time to tell Raoul that they went to the cemetery.

In the story, Christine Daae's true love is Raoul, but she is torn between the Phantom and Raoul. In the end, Christine gets Raoul, but the Phantom is left with a longing for Christine as she kisses him goodbye.

The Phantom had set a trap, which was a trap door in the floor; Raoul fell down the hole and into water. A gate was then lowered down over Raoul to drown him. He then found a wheel which, when he turned it clockwise, reversed the gate to raise it up above the water.

Answer: He knocked out the original carriage driver and drove the carriage himself.

Raoul was the one who followed on horseback. He woke up to find Christine missing from her bed at the opera house. When he looked out the window, he saw the carriage leaving. Knowing it was most likely Christine, he ran down, took a horse and rode it (bareback) to the cemetery, where he caught up with Christine who was entranced by the Phantom's voice.

Answer: on the rose with the black ribbon, that is placed on Christine's grave

We first see the ring during the 'Masquerade' number, hanging from a chain around Christine's neck. After the Phantom makes his entrance, he rips the chain off of her and takes the ring with him, back to his lair. He then puts it into Christine's palm, and folds her fingers over it, after he has had her don the wedding dress. She puts it on her finger just before she kisses him in order to save Raoul's life. After the Phantom releases them, she returns and puts it into his hand. The Phantom then leaves it on the headstone, years later.

After the Phantom causes the chandelier to start swinging, and disappears with Christine, panic breaks out. People are screaming and running everywhere, trying to avoid the crashing of the chandelier, and the fire that the crash starts. We hear Carlotta shriek and cry Piangi's name, and we see her lying on the floor beside him, weeping onto his chest.

Answer: "Christine, don't say that..."

Since André and Firmin did not follow his orders, the Phantom decides to take revenge during the performance of "Il Muto" and kills Joseph Buquet, an old stagehand. Christine is out of her mind with fear, certain that the Phantom will come for her next and she and Raoul flee to the roof of the opera house. But in spite of what they have just heard and seen, Raoul still refuses to believe that the Phantom is real and in this scene he tries repeatedly to assure Christine that she is perfectly safe, and that he will always be there to protect her.

Also, during both the "The Mirror/Angel of Music" and "Prima Donna" scenes, the poster for "Hannibal" is shown in her dressing room, and on this she is shown with a severed head on a plate. But in the Hannibal practice, it's in a sheet.

Christine kisses Raoul for the first time during "All I Ask of You" and she kisses The Phantom during "Down Once More", when she is trying to calm him into releasing Raoul.

It seems as though Carlotta's favorite color was pink. Her poodles had pink hair ribbons, her outfit during "Notes" and "Prima Donna" was pink, her shoes were pink.

Answer: Mme Giry

Mme Giry brought her to the opera after her father died. It's not said how Mme Giry knew Christine, but Mme Giry says during the rehearsal for "Hannibal" that she thinks of Christine as her own daughter.

Answer: Pink

Oddly enough, neither she nor Raoul is wearing a mask - everyone else is - even though they are trying to be inconspicuous.
